Ladies Mid Week Competition
played weekly at the Bulli Tennis Centre

There are two (2) competitions in a year.
Each competition runs for 17 weeks with a fun day on the 18th week.
The competitions run around school terms and include breaks for school holidays

Don't worry too much about the length of the commitment ... you can generally miss a week or two and still be in the mix to win.

It is a competition where as an individual player, you team up with your opponents to play doubles tennis.
So you as player A, team up with player B against player C and player D then the next set is player A and player D against player B and player C etc.

We start at 9:30am ... so you need to be there by 9:15am.

There is some wiggle room for mum's or nan's with kids to take to school ... but just a little bit.
You play four (4) sets on the day.
The day is generally completed by 1pm.
We use new balls each round.
We have a prize for the winner and runner-up of each competition ... so two (2) of each for the year.

What does it cost?
An individual player will need ...
A membership ... you will need to be a member of a tennis club registered with the Bulli and Districts Tennis Association Inc.**
An individual player will pay ...
A competition fee for each competition of $40 which covers:
A ball fee ... you are using new balls each week.
An administration / competition fee ... because the competition doesn't run itself.
Currently we have two (2) divisions ... but there is plenty of room for one or two more divisions.
**Just a bit more about the tennis clubs registered with the B&DTA Inc.
They are tennis club from Helensburgh to Fernhill.
The membership cost may vary from club to club ... but you will need to provide evidence of a current membership that does not expire before the end of the competition.

Nearly all of the competition players are members of Bulli Tennis.
Currently the minimum acceptable membership to play is a Bulli Tennis Individual Day Membership at $130 per year.
Which covers both competitions in a year and is not exclusive to the Thursday Ladies Individual Competition.
Please Note: membership with Beaton Park or other Wollongong and Districts Tennis Association clubs will not be accepted, this means clubs from Fairy Meadow Tennis Club and south.
